Olivia & Blake

I met Olivia and Blake around the time I moved out to Colorado. They had also just moved to Colorado from Florida and had just got engaged. I had met up with them in Boulder to do their engagement session and right away we hit it off. They are such a sweet couple and so much fun! We were laughing the entire time like we were old friends who hadn’t seen each other in years! I found out during the shoot that Olivia LOVED the snow and wanted to have a winter wedding. I could tell right away it was going to be beautiful and I couldn’t wait to see what she came up with.

Skip to a year later and there I was photographing their magical mountain top wedding at Granby Ranch! It was a cold winter day and absolutely breathtaking. We took the ski lift up to the top were Olivia and Blake had a first look and then exchanged special vows. It was beyond perfect, the view, the vows, the dress….everything! We then had all their family join us out on the mountain and they were married! After the ceremony we all headed down the hill to Headwaters Center where the reception took place. It was a beautiful winter wonderland wedding and totally Olivia and Blake! I’m so honored they asked me to photograph their special day.

Elizabeth & Justin's Big Sur Elopement

Elizabeth and Justin reached out to me about a Big Sur elopement. They lived in Florida and were looking to have a simple, intimate wedding along the coast. They decided on Glen Oaks for the ceremony and The Road House for the reception.

Elizabeth arrived in CA a few days before her wedding to a very wet and rainy Big Sur! She was nervous about it raining on her wedding day and I told her not to worry and that stormy weather makes for some amazing photos (my favorite type of weather to shoot in)! Sure enough her wedding date came and it was pouring rain! I had lived in Carmel for 30 years and I don’t think I’ve ever seen that much rain haha. I head down to Glen Oaks and when I get there she tells me they had to move cabins because the river was flooding, the whole place was muddy and wet and just pouring down rain. I kept reassuring her that the wedding would be absolutely beautiful and rain on your wedding day is good luck! Of course the wedding ceremony was absolutely stunning, her small group of family and friends stood beneath the redwoods and watched as Elizabeth and Justin said I do.

After the ceremony Elizabeth and Justin jumped in my car and off we went to take some photos of just the two of them. All the beaches were closed due to heavy rain and flooding so we drove along the coast finding little spots to jump out and take photos. We would park, wait for the rain to stop hop out, get some photos real quick and run back to the car. By the time we were done we all looked like drown rats, but it was one of the best times I had taking wedding photos. We laughed the entire time and got some AMAZING pictures! Nothing beats the Big Sur coastline and a stormy sky! After pictures everyone met up at The Road House and the rest of the night was filled with laughs and dancing. There couldn’t have been a more perfect way to end the night for Elizabeth and Justin wedding.

Hannah & Connor

Hannah and Connor were my engagement giveaway winners! They had told me they wanted some engagement photos in the mountains so we headed up to Idaho Springs. We ended up at beautiful Echo Lake Park where the lake was completely frozen over. Luckily for us the sun was shinning but it was still only about 30 degrees out. Hannah and Connor were such troopers adventuring through the snow with me to find the most perfect lighting!

During our shoot I got to know Hannah and Connor, they are originally from Chicago but moved out to Colorado a few years ago. When asking about how they first met they told me they have been dating for 11 years! These two are middle school sweethearts and its just about the sweetest thing.

I absolutely loved meeting these two and had such a great time capturing their engagement photos!
